Walking bomb, crushing prison, mana shield (useful protecting against magic attacks, which can be very dangerous in Dragon Age: Origins is a really good game, but it's also a really buggy game. Origins is riddled with bugs that cause broken quests, missing dialogue, and even crashes. I have both, and after installing LAA Patch for Dragon Age Origins on the Steam copy, I don't really notice a difference in performance. But I prefer the Steam copy over the Origin copy because I don't like the Origin Launcher. Adding the LAA flag isn't about increasing performance but rather increasing stability. HzAiYB.
